Plan the Shot Around the Backdrop
A 1.8 m wide backdrop is a useful option for carefully framed individual portraits, headshots, smaller products and presenter-led content. The size of your subject, camera angle and framing determine whether it suits your shoot. For full-length work, several people, large products or a wide video frame, discuss your requirements first.
The green screen is a reusable backdrop rather than a permanent green-screen cove. Check the required background and floor coverage with your photographer before reserving the space.
Photography & Brand Content
Plan portraits, headshots, product photographs or campaign assets with your photographer. A consistent green background can be removed in compatible editing software, allowing you to create a different setting in the finished image.
Bring a clear brief and any reference images. Background replacement, retouching and photography services are not included in the studio-space booking.
Video & Talking-Head Content
For a smaller presenter setup, check your intended crop and lighting with us in advance. A clean background and suitable subject placement help your editor work with the footage.
The studio is not advertised as soundproof. For dialogue, interviews or other sound-sensitive work, discuss your recording needs before booking and bring your audio equipment.
Lighting, Space and Preparation
Green-screen work benefits from even lighting on the backdrop and enough separation between the subject and the screen. Natural light alone may not give the control your photographer needs. Bring the appropriate lighting or ask about the studio’s separately bookable lighting options; equipment availability and suitability should be agreed before your session.
Choose outfits and products with your editing process in mind. Green clothing, reflective surfaces, fine hair detail and shadows can make background removal more difficult. Your photographer or editor should assess the setup for the result you want.

How much does green-screen studio hire cost?
Studio hire starts at £40 per hour. The reusable green-screen backdrop is a separate £30 add-on per booking. Select the required session and backdrop, and check any lighting or other equipment needs before confirming.
What size is the green-screen backdrop?
It is 1.8 × 2.8 m. Check your subject size, framing and floor coverage with your photographer. It is not a permanent green-screen cove or a large production stage.
Is a photographer or background editing included?
No. The booking provides studio space and the agreed add-ons. Bring your own photographer and equipment, or ask us for a photographer recommendation. Your photographer or editor handles background removal and the finished images.
Will the backdrop be assembled for me?
The reusable backdrop is left ready for you to assemble and pack away. Setup and pack-down must take place within your booked session, so allow time for both.
Can I record green-screen video?
Discuss your intended framing, lighting and recording needs with us first. The backdrop may suit smaller presenter-led work, but suitability depends on your setup. The studio is not advertised as soundproof, and audio recording equipment is not included as a podcast package.
How do I request the green backdrop?
Select the backdrop add-on with your studio booking and put “green screen” in the booking notes. Contact us before booking if you need help checking the backdrop dimensions, lighting or a more complex setup.

Use the driveway entrance link to find the turn-in from the road, the car-park entrance link for parking, then the front-door link to locate the studio. Follow the illustrated daytime or after-hours route; the front-door pin does not replace the access route. Studio access is via stairs.

Parking and arrival: Free on-site parking is included. Check the route before setting off and share it with your guests. Arrival and private access instructions are sent before your confirmed session; if they have not reached you, contact us before travelling. Access is by confirmed booking, including evening and weekend sessions.
Access and facilities: The studio is upstairs and access involves stairs. Tell us about mobility requirements or heavy equipment before booking. Wi-Fi, existing studio furniture, kitchen, toilet and changing facilities are available for your session. Ask us to confirm any essential furniture or prop before your visit.
Your session: Hire starts at £40 per hour for private use during the time reserved. Allow for setup, sound checks and packing away within that time. Bring your camera, microphones, recording equipment, power supplies and suitable memory cards. Continuous lighting is a separate £20-per-booking extra; the reusable 1.8 × 2.8 m green backdrop is £30 per booking. Agree extras in advance.
Know before booking: Camera and microphone hire are not included in the room price. A camera and up to two microphones may be arranged on request for a £100 hire fee, with sufficient advance notice and confirmed availability. A photographer, recording engineer and editing are not included. The room is not soundproof. For dialogue, livestreaming or remote guests, discuss your audio and connection needs with us before booking. Please leave the studio as you found it.

Need a camera or microphones?
Add the two-person podcast kit for £100 per session, separate from room hire. Includes two RØDE PodMic XLR microphones, a Zoom PodTrak P4 recorder, XLR cables, two FIFINE BM88 boom arms with desk clamps, two Audio-Technica ATH-M50x headphones and USB-C cables. Select it in the booking form and confirm availability in advance. Request a Canon R50/R100 camera if you need video. Self-operated hire; no engineer or editing included. Clients must bring their own compatible SD card or recording storage device. Storage media is not supplied. Save and take your recordings with you at the end of your session.
Free on-site parking is included. The studio is upstairs: please discuss access needs or heavy equipment before booking, and follow your confirmed arrival instructions.
